The International Forum for Islamic Youth launches a development center in Niger

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, the office of the World Muslim Youth Forum in Niger launched a new development center in the capital, Niamey. This came in the presence of a number of executives and people who appreciated the humanitarian efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the government and people. Director of the World Symposium Office in Niger, Mohamed Nour, said: The center includes a mosque, a prayer hall for women, classrooms, an artesian well, and housing for the imam, and provides them with educational opportunities and a number of life services that the residents of the region need, including clean drinking water. In turn, the people expressed their joy and gratitude to the Kingdom and its generous people who met their need in building this comprehensive center, praying to God Almighty to preserve the Kingdom’s security and prosperity and protect its people and leadership from all evil and harm.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, received, on Saturday in Al-Azhar Sheikhdom, a Somali delegation headed by Minister Omar Ali Robley, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs of the Federal Republic of Somalia, accompanied by Ambassador Elias Sheikh Omar Abu Bakr, the Somali ambassador in Cairo, and a number of Somali officials.The Grand Imam said that Al-Azhar receives 873 male and female students from the State of Somalia this year, and there are 22 envoys from Al-Azhar in Somalia, and the Al-Azhar mission there is one of the oldest Arab missions, in addition to the presence of an Azhari institute and a branch of the World Organization for Al-Azhar Graduates, and this confirms the appreciation and interest of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif advancing education on the African continent,Based on the responsibility and role of Al-Azhar towards the Arab and Islamic world. For its part, the Somali delegation expressed its appreciation for the important role of Al-Azhar in Somalia and the envoys it sends, medical and relief convoys, with the reception of Somali students at Al-Azhar and the training of imams. He emphasized that Al-Azhar graduates in Somalia enjoy a distinguished position and contribute an important role in spreading moderate thought in Somalia and combating extremist ideas.
