It is chaired by the Grand Imam Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb - Sheikh of Al-Azhar with two deputies: His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Matouk Al-Maatouq and His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdullah Al-Zaid, and the Secretary-General of the Council His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Musleh, and the Presidency includes the heads of the specialized committees
It is not a coincidence that the title of this council combines “relief” and “Da'wa,” and perhaps this was intended in the origin of the name.
