The Islamic Charitable Organization: launches the 48th “Kuwait Al-Khair”...to support needy families, students, and orphans
As part of its tireless endeavor to provide more quality, productive and advanced social and humanitarian services, the “Help Your Muslim Brother Everywhere” committee of the International Islamic Charitable Organization recently inaugurated the 48th edition of the “Kuwait Al-Khair” exhibition at the St. Regis Hotel (formerly the Sheraton), to support needy families. And students of knowledge and sponsoring orphans, under the patronage and presence of the Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Sheikh Firas Saud Al-Malik Al-Sabah.The annual charity market - whose opening was attended by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Muhammad Al-Mutair, Deputy Director-General Abdul Rahman Al-Mutawa, Committee Chairwoman Nusayba Al-Mutawa, Sheikha Awrad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Al-Qabas Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Waleed Al-Nisf, represents an important tool for providing support to needy families and students of knowledge, and enhancing the work process. Charitable activities, encouraging young people to volunteer, and activating the role of the private sector in supporting charitable work by promoting their products.After touring the market and inspecting its products, the Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Sheikh Firas Saud Al-Malik Al-Sabah said, “I was pleased with the opening of the charity market for the Help Your Muslim Brother Everywhere Committee, and to see its various sections and products, and we ask God Almighty for the sisters who are responsible for it, success and payment,” stressing the continuation. In supporting the charitable activity of the people of Kuwait, and highlighting the cultural and humanitarian face of Kuwait.For his part, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Muhammad Barak Al-Mutair, praised the efforts of the Help Your Muslim Brother Everywhere Committee, describing its charitable activities as large and mighty, and appreciating its keenness to organize this market and diversify its products to serve charitable and benevolent works. Al-Mutair said that the State of Kuwait's keenness to support charitable work is a matter of pride and honor, pointing to its strong desire to support the people of Gaza, and its continued support for the poor and afflicted peoples. For her part, the head of the committee, Nasiba Abdulaziz Al-Mutawa, said that this market is a social event that the committee used to launch annually with Kuwaiti volunteer hands, and in a sophisticated arrangement that reflects the taste and generosity of women in society.She added that the proceeds from the market target needy families and students of knowledge inside Kuwait, noting the diversity of its corners and displays of products, furniture, clothes, home accessories, bedding and other innovative products that keep pace with everything new and serve its pioneers from the community. Al-Mutawa pointed out that the people of Kuwait and residents of its land are accustomed to extending a helping hand to the needy from needy families, stressing that this exhibition enhances charitable work and highlights the civilized face of “Kuwait of Charity and Humanity.” In turn, Sheikha Awrad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah praised the charitable work provided by the Help Your Muslim Brother Committee to support needy families inside Kuwait, noting its role in highlighting the bright, civilized, humanitarian face of the State of Kuwait.Charitable exhibitions are an important means of supporting charitable organizations’ projects in achieving many of their goals that benefit vulnerable groups. Help your Muslim brother...a charitable, cultural and educational activity The “Help Your Muslim Brother Everywhere Committee” was established in 1983, under the umbrella of the Charitable Organization. It has a cultural and educational activity, and focuses its humanitarian work within the State of Kuwait. The committee is led by a group of female volunteers, and its projects include memorizing the Holy Qur’an for women and children, disseminating Islamic sciences, making people aware of its directives, and organizing weekly meetings to present an educational vision curriculum for male and female students.The committee is also concerned with a project to sponsor students of knowledge in Kuwait and abroad, in addition to sponsoring many scientific, educational, social and cultural courses, family day and summer club projects, educational preparation for young women in cooperation with public benefit associations, participation in seminars and conferences throughout the year and supervision of the Vision Bilingual School. . The committee works to direct the family to be inspired by the values of work, construction, charity, and educating children, based on the fact that knowledge and work are the basis of achievement and family success, in addition to the participation of women in charitable work so that they raise their children on the values of love of goodness and giving, instilling voluntary values in the hearts of girls and training them to help others.
