The global symposium lays the foundation stone for the orphan sponsorship building in Senegal

Charitable Organization: More than 3.2 million beneficiaries of our humanitarian and development projects during the year 2023 Based on a strategic development vision that extends to 2026 AD, the Charitable Organization implemented 864 qualitative projects in the educational, health, development and cultural fields during the year 2023 AD in 52 countries, at a cost of more than 13.3 million dinars, and benefited more than 3.2 million people. Badr Saud Al-Sumait, in a press statement, said that the year 2023 was celebrated with many charitable and humanitarian development programs and projects, launched by the Charitable Organization to contribute to improving the living and societal reality of millions of poor and needy people in fragile societies, within the framework of its ambitious strategic vision aimed at building and empowering people educationally, culturally, economically, and socially, and providing a better life. Generous for the most needy groups. beneficiaries in 17 countries, in coordination and cooperation with 52 partner agencies.He added that the Charitable Organization was active during the year 2023 in 52 countries in accordance with its strategic vision, and completed 864 qualitative projects in the social, educational, health, cultural and development fields, at a total cost of 13,395,137 dinars, and 3,281,982 beneficiaries benefited from it, in addition to 2,087 microfinance projects, implemented by the Authority in 17 countries at a cost of 1,306,652 dinars for the benefit of 5,661 beneficiaries.Al-Sumait pointed out that the share of social projects in last year’s harvest amounted to 234 projects, at a cost of 5,509,681 dinars, and 2,102,837 beneficiaries, indicating that these projects targeted the neediest groups in 35 countries, and varied between projects for breakfast for the fasting person, sacrifices, winter clothing, shelter, home renovation, zakat al-Fitr, and sponsorship. Needy families, people with special needs, relief projects, and orphanages.Educationally, the Director General reported that the Charitable Organization completed 91 projects in 21 countries at a cost of 2,456,426 dinars, benefiting 37,428 students, teachers and administrators, noting that the list of educational projects included building and equipping schools, tuition fees, sponsoring students, purchasing school buses, sponsoring teachers, and others.At the level of health projects, Al-Sumait indicated that the Authority launched 25 projects in 12 countries at a cost of 565,992 dinars, pointing out that they varied between building and equipping health centers, performing surgical operations, and sponsoring patients and people with special needs, and 619,182 beneficiaries benefited from them. He stated that the number of completed cultural projects reached 127 projects, with a value of 1,378,434 dinars, and that their list included building mosques and Islamic centers, organizing scientific conferences, sponsoring preachers, Quranic projects, and others, and that 142,756 beneficiaries in 36 countries benefited from them.As for sustainable development projects - as monitored by the Director General - they amounted to 387 projects, covering 33 countries, at a cost of 3,448,604 dinars, and the number of beneficiaries reached 379,779 beneficiaries, and they varied between water and farm projects, programs for rehabilitating some groups and developing their capabilities, in addition to energy projects. He explained that the Microfinance Charitable Organization’s program is one of the most effective, fruitful, and successful programmes and that its idea revolves around financing industrial, commercial, service, and agricultural projects for beneficiaries in the form of good loans, then recovering them after the end of the project cycle to re-lend them to new beneficiaries, in cooperation with the partner agencies sponsoring the program, noting that The program's projects during the year 2023 amounted to 2,087 projects, covering 17 countries, and the cost of recycling them amounted to 1,306,652 dinars for the benefit of 5,661 beneficiariesHe attributed the success achieved by the Charitable Organization in this context to God’s grace, then the support of the political leadership for charitable work, the generosity of donors in giving, the initiatives of volunteers, the interaction of partners, and the strenuous efforts of the Authority’s employees in a great humanitarian epic that aimed to meet the basic needs of vulnerable groups, directing expressions of thanks and appreciation to everyone.
