Al-Azhar condemns the bombing of a mosque in Pakistan.. It affirms: Corruption on earth and war against God and His Messenger
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif expresses its strong condemnation of the abhorrent terrorist attack on a house of God in the city of Peshawar, and its bombing during a gathering of worshipers to perform Friday prayers, which resulted in the killing and injury of dozens of worshipers.
Al-Azhar affirms that bombing mosques is corruption on earth and war against God and His Messenger, which are brutal crimes, and they dare to violate the sanctities of God and one of his homes, indicating that the perpetrators are stripped of the slightest meanings of religiosity, mercy and humanity.
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif extends its sincere condolences to the leadership, government and people of the Republic of Pakistan, and to the families of the victims of this terrorist bombing, asking God Almighty to place the victims of the tragic accident in His spacious gardens, to grant their families patience and solace, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery.
