Sheikh Jad Al-Haq Ali Gad Al-Haq may God have mercy on him
His Eminence the Great Imam Sheikh / Jad al-Haq Ali Jad al-Haq (may God have mercy on him):
- Sheikh: Gad Al-Haq Ali Gad Al-Haq was born in 1335 AH / April 1917 AD, in the Dakahlia Governorate.
- He joined the Faculty of Sharia, and graduated in 1944 AD, obtaining an international certificate, then obtained a specialization in the judiciary. He worked in Sharia courts in the year (1366 AH / 1946), then was appointed Secretary of Fatwa at the Egyptian Iftaa House: (1373/1953), then Mufti of the country The Egyptian (1398 / 1978), then Minister of Endowments: (1402 / 1982), then he was chosen as sheikh of Al-Azhar Mosque in [1402 AH / 1982] until his death in 1996 AD, to be the forty-sixth imam who assumed the sheikhdom of the Al-Azhar Mosque.
- In September 1988 he was chosen as the head of the International Islamic Council for Call and Relief, and remained its president until his death (1996 AD) - may God have mercy on him -.
